Matthew H. Meckley
An Elizabethtown man has been charged with drug offenses after police said they found methamphetamine and $3,000 during a traffic stop in Warwick Township.
Matthew H. Meckley, 40, was charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver, four counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, one count of possessing an instrument of crime and vehicle code violations. He was being held at Lancaster County Prison unable to post $250,000 bail.
A Northern Lancaster County Regional Police officer stopped Meckley about 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, at Sheetz, 701 Furnace Hills Pike, after noticing a counterfeit
inspection certificate on the Audi he was driving, police said.
The officer became suspicious of Meckley’s behavior and items in the car related to drug abuse and possession, police said. Police got a warrant and found the methamphetamine and cash, police said. The drug’s value wasn’t determined.
Meckley was also charged with having a counterfeit inspection, driving under suspension, driving without insurance and related vehicle code violations. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, before District Judge Edward A. Tobin.
