Elizabethtown Fair Brings Back Contests for Pet, Baby Photos

The Elizabethtown Fair is bringing back its annual Pet Photo Contest and Baby Photo Contest this year. All pets and children 2 years or younger are eligible for the contests.
Photos must be 5 inches by 7 inches or 8 inches by 10 inches; vertical 8-inch by 10-inch photos are recommended.

Photos for both contests will be displayed throughout Fair Week; people may vote for the best photos with donations; one cent equals one vote. Proceeds from the Pet Photo Contest will benefit the 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue and the Elizabethtown Fair; proceeds from the Baby Photo Contest will benefit the Elizabethtown Fire Company and the Elizabethtown Fair.

For pet photos, the owner’s name, address and phone number, as well as the pet’s breed and name, must appear on the back of the photo. Entries are limited to two per family. For baby photos, parent’s and child’s name, address and phone number are to appear on the back of the photograph.

Pet photos should be dropped off at Waggin’ Wheels Pet Supply, 709 Cloverleaf Road, Elizabethtown, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Photos may also be sent to 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue, P.O. Box 549, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 or dropped at the Fair Office on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Baby photos may be dropped at the firehouse (171 N. Mount Joy Street, Elizabethtown) daily between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. the week of Aug. 12, or by contacting Lisa at 717-471-3192. Photographs will also be accepted in the Fair Office between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Aug. 17.

It is recommended that photos be picked up Saturday, Aug. 24, following the announcement of winners; pet photos should be picked up at the photo display and baby photos at the fair office. Any pet photos not picked up at this time will be available for pick-up at Waggin’ Wheels Pet Supply through Sept. 6; any baby photos not picked up at the fair will be available for pick-up at the firehouse until Sept. 7.
