Elizabethtown College Plans Installation of New President

Elizabethtown College students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader community plan to gather to install the college’s 15th president, Cecilia M. McCormick, at a ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 24 ,at 4 p.m. in the Leffler Chapel and Performance Center.

McCormick, who began her presidency on July 1, will address the crowd at the inauguration along with remarks also provided by Dean of the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University, Joseph A. DiAngelo, Jr. and retired Senior Executive, Human Strategy & CHRO of John Hopkins University, Charlene Moore Hayes.

Before Elizabethtown, McCormick most recently held the position of vice provost for academic strategy and special programs at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

McCormick also has held various positions at Widener University, including executive director in the Office of the President as well as aean and director of the Legal Education Institute at Widener University School of Law, associate director of admissions for the School of Law, and associate dean and dean of academic affairs for the School of Business Administration.
