A 12-2 day at the Trinity Tournament propelled the Elizabethtown girls volleyball team to a second place finish on Saturday, Sept. 2.
The team started out 6-0 in pool play with victories over Trinity and West Shore Christian.
In the p.m. session, the team went 5-1 to push their record to 11-1 on the day. That record was good enough to earn them a bye into the gold bracket semifinals.
They matched up with Lower Dauphin and took care of business, 25-13, to advance to the finals before they were defeated.
The team’s first home match is scheduled to be against Manheim Central on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. It is one of two home matches that the team has during September.
