Susquehanna Regional Police Seek Public’s Help Finding Fraud Suspect

Susquehanna Regional Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man accused of repeatedly offering his services as a disc jockey, collecting half of his fee in advance and then never showing up at the event.

Brian Allen Smith, 31, is accused of multiple instances of fraud and theft by deception, which police said took place in Marietta Borough starting in the beginning of May. Police said Smith also stole credit cards and used them at many convenience stores. His whereabouts are unknown.

Detective Michael J. Kimes said Smith advertised his services on Facebook and other social media sites and would agree that he would get paid half in advance and half after the event, but never showed up at the weddings and other events.

Police said anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts should contact local police or contact the Susquehanna Regional Police Department at 717-426-1164. People with information may also email Kimes at kimesm@police.co.lancaster.pa.us.
