Christel M. Pond has been appointed as the assistant principal for East High Elementary School. She replaces Amanda Baxter, who has accepted a position to become the elementary principal at Mill Road Elementary School.
Pond has 15 years of experience in the field of education. Her experiences include teaching experience at both Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly, N.J., and with the Wildwood School District in Wildwood, N.J., where she served as a high school teacher, assistant principal and athletic director, and elementary school principal.
Pond holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from East Stroudsburg University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Wilmington University in Delaware.
