An Elizabethtown man is facing felony drug-dealing charges after marijuana and more than 1,000 prescription pills were seized from his home during a raid last month.
Ryan J. Hummel, 21, of the 400 block of East Park Street (between Mount Joy and Chestnut streets), was charged with four felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives raided his home Sept. 28 and seized 866 grams (1.9 pounds) of marijuana, 157.8 grams of THC wax, 987 Xanax pills, 29 alprazolam pills, 15 amphetamine pills, drug paraphernalia and $2,700 in cash, according to the Lancaster County district attorney’s office. Numerous other prescription medications also were recovered.
THC is the active component in marijuana.
Hummel was arraigned Sept. 29 and committed to Lancaster County Prison. He was released Oct. 2 after a bondsman posted the required 10 percent of bail which was set at $10,000, court papers show.
He is awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, before Magisterial District Judge Jayne F. Duncan.
