A Mount Joy Township man is accused of sexual assault on an 11-year-old girl.
Austin Dakota Keller, 19, of Milton Grove Road near Cloverleaf Road, is facing two counts of the first-degree felony of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, two counts of the third-degree felony of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, two counts of the third-degree felony of corruption of minors and three counts of the first-degree felony of unlawful contact with a minor — sexual contacts, police announced on Monday, Dec. 10.
Northwest Regional Police Detective Frank H. Ember Jr. wrote in court papers that police found out about the relationship between Keller and the victim when they were called to a report of suspicious persons in the woods in the Shady Oak Drive development the evening of Monday,Sept. 17. Keller agreed to be interviewed by police. Ember wrote in court papers that in the interview, Keller acknowledged what he had done with the girl and that he knew she was 11 years old.
Police said the crimes took place between Aug. 16 and Sept. 16 of this year.
Keller waived his right to a preliminary hearing, meaning his case proceeds to the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas. He is scheduled for formal arraignment in county court at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28.
Keller is represented by West Chester lawyer Lee Ciccarelli. The Advocate invited Ciccarelli to be interviewed for this article, but got no response by press time.
