Letter to the Editor: Nurses at LGH Were Highly Professional

I have been wanting to write this for some time, but a lengthy hospitalization for heart surgery and then rehab have taken a few months.

I am an “old nurse” — as I tell people, once a nurse, always a nurse. I graduated from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania way back in 1959. I was a HUP R.N.

What I wish to express now is my thanks and gratitude to all the medical personnel, especially the wonderful, dedicated nurses who took care of me. As I told them, I would much rather be on “the other side of the bed.”

I can’t commend them enough for all their dignified and professional care. Lancaster General Hospital should be very proud of them.

Thanks to each one of you! God bless!
