A Lancaster man is charged in connection with a 27-year-old Elizabethtown woman’s overdose death in November.

Lancaster City police arrested 18-year-old Alejandro Jose Yens the night of Saturday, Feb. 10, in the city.

Elizabethtown police Detective Dustin Ryan charged Yens with felony drug delivery resulting in death regarding the Nov. 9 overdose of Danielle Witman at a home near the intersection of North Lime Street and Hillside Avenue in Elizabethtown.

District Judge Tony Russell arraigned Yens on Sunday, Feb. 11, and set bail at $500,000, which was not posted.

Police were called to the North Lime Street home Nov. 9 about 6 a.m.

Police used the victim’s phone to connect her to multiple individuals, including the person who provided the heroin: Yens.

An autopsy revealed fentanyl and morphine, a byproduct of heroin, in the victim’s system.

Lancaster City police and Lancaster County detectives assisted in the investigation.
