A two-alarm fire at a West Donegal Township hay barn kept firefighters on the scene long after it was ruled under control, Rheems Fire Company Chief Charles Stanford said.
The fire was reported just after midnight Thursday, July 13, at a barn in the 300 block of Stone Mill Drive, Stanford said.
The blaze was quickly upgraded to a second alarm to add more tankers, he said. A dozen fire companies responded to assist.
It was ruled under control around 1:15 a.m., but tankers remain on scene to remove smoldering hay from the barn, Stanford said.
No one was injured, Stanford said. The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
