Felony Charge Filed Over East Donegal Stabbing

A man is accused of stabbing another man in the abdomen with a pocketknife at a home in East Donegal Township.

Jerry Edward Jones, 65, is charged with aggravated assault, a first-degree felony. He was held in the Lancaster County Prison because he was unable to pay $25,000 bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, before Magisterial District Judge Scott E. Albert.

Susquehanna Regional Police said Jones was arguing with a 56-year-old man at a home on Drager Road in East Donegal Township on the evening of Friday, Sept. 22, when he stabbed the man. The victim was treated at Lancaster General Hospital.
